Top Ten Reasons To Join OAMP! 10. Because you are a Psychologist: There are no other organizations in Oklahoma that represent the interests of Psychologists at the Master's level. Support the organization that is supporting you. 9. Stand together: There is strength in numbers. Numbers equal legislative power. Legislative power equals favorable legislation. We must have favorable legislation to survive and prosper as Psychologists at the Master's level Even if you don't have time to contribute to the organization, JOIN. By adding your number, you increase the power of the organization and empower those working in your behalf. 8. Associate with like-minded individuals: We are physically dispersed but we can be united through the organization. We can come together for conferences, trainings, meetings, electronically and through the OAMP newsletter. 7. Unified voice in the state of Oklahoma: OAMP is the only organization advocating for Psychologists at the Master's level. 6. Professional development: Grow and prosper through professional development programs offered through the association. The Association will attempt to provide listings of trainings both in and out of state. 5. To have a professional presence: The new license law and the association legitimize Psychologist at the Master's level. Become part of that professional presence. 4. Public education of existence of OAMP and Psychologists at the Master's level: The association will be educating the public and various consumers of our service to the existence of Psychologists at the Master's level and the services that they provide. 8. Venue for professional expression: As a member of OAMP you will have opportunity to present workshops, papers, articles for the newsletter, participate in discussions and conferences. 9. Find Employment: The Association will provide listings both in and out of state.
